Taekwondo literally means ‘The
art of hand and foot’.
Taekwondo dates back hundreds
of years originally deriving from the ancient
Korean art of Taek kyon & was founded
as Taekwondo in 1955.
General Choi Hong Hi dedicated his life
to Taekwondo as its founder & Grandmaster.
He formed the International Taekwondo Federation
(ITF) and formed world wide standards &
regulations for the International body for
Taekwondo which is today practised in over
100 countries.
Taekwondo is one of the most
popular martial arts in the world today
and is now also an official Olympic sport.
It has a strong hand techniques & a
powerful array of devestating kicking techniques.
Whilst Taekwondo is a great form of self
defence it also promotes great discipline,
respect, self control, self esteem, confidence
& concentration in which Zeus International
Martial Arts Academy emphasizes with its
junior students (ages 5 – 15).
Our junior’s Taekwondo
classes are taught in a safe environment
using the best of traditional & modern
instruction, preparing our children for
all obstacles in life.
In Taekwondo, character development,
attitude, tenacity and as well as individual
capability are all graded, tested &
certified by International Master Instructor

The utmost purpose of Taekwondo is to eliminate
fighting by discouraging the stronger’s
oppression of the weaker with a power that
must be based on humanity, justice, morality,
wisdom & faith, thus helping to build
a better and more peaceful society.
